Some Offseason News

Only 49 days until Ohio State plays Marshall in the Shoe to open up the 2010 season.

Just a few things to touch on, as I'm sure everyone already knows:
- WR Duron Carter and DE Keith Wells have transferred out of the program. Both were in the two deep at their respective positions and are both young, exciting athletes. Hopefully they figure out what they want to do.

- LeBron James is out of the state of Ohio.... this has nothing to do with anything, but I'm sure that Miami fans coming to Columbus in September will be wearing their Heat jerseys just trying to rub it in even more that South Beach is a hotter commodity that the four lovely seasons of Ohio living. My take on it? LeBron might be in Miami, but does anyone that can beat OSU play for the U? Just a thought...

- Safety Tyler Moeller has been cleared to play after a bar brawl left him with brain damage last summer in Florida. All I have to say about that is short and sweet: good for him. He's a great asset to the Silver Bullet defense.

- OSU landed the top quarterback in the country for the 2011 recruiting class in Braxton Miller, who is expected to be the future of OSU football after Terrelle Pryor leaves for the NFL (sources from OSU Scout insiders state that Pryor, along with the coaching staff, are on the same page in terms of how long it will take him to be ready for the NFL and he should be a four year player).

Starting in August, I will be back to writing weekly heading into the season. I now write on philsteele.com, so when I write on there I will copy the link.

Football is just around the corner....
